We have had a really quite busy time lately.
Luckily most of it has been busy fun!
We took a trip down to Temple Square to see the lights! I always love doing this! The lights are so beautiful and so it the temple.
The kids loved it! Jackson was really fun this year to listen to as he talked about the lights. There are also lots of nativities all around temple square so it was fun to talk about the different people in the nativity. It was also good to be able to show the kids the temple and talk to them about the temple a bit. I think Jackson even got some of the spirit of it... his only random comment was when he was trying to shoot the Angel Moroni off the top of the temple with his pretend gun. It would not be a spiritual talk with Jackson if it did not go a little in the crazy direction. Kambree just liked to stare at all the lights! Kaylee slept through it all as she was strapped all warm next to me.
We have had a few snow storms here as of late. One night we went out for a little bit and let the kids play. Jackson thought it was the greatest thing ever to throw snow balls.
Kambree would not look at the camera but it's close enough. The kids love their jammies they got for Christmas from Grandma Madill. They wore them all day and then the following night... it was funny how excited they were!
Kaylee has discovered the Bumbo. She does not love it for too long, but I think she finds it kinda exciting to be able to sit up.
We celebrated Christmas early at Grandma Madills. Mercedes and Blake don't have Chloe and Cash this year for Christmas so we did it early when they were around! The kids decorated cookies. It's funny how something as small as decorating cookies shows the kids personalities. Chloe was very clean and precise. There was a pretty equal amount of frosting and sprinkles.
Jackson was so clean it was hard to get him to feed himself the cookie cause he was nervous it would get on him. His was LOADED with sprinkles!
And Kambree only sort of frosted her cookie. Mostly she just stuck her hand in the frosting and ate it! In the end she was more frosted than her cookie.
And we have been eating A LOT!! This is a peppermint cheesecake. Between parties, neighbors gifts, and random foods I have made or bought I will be excited if we make it out of this Christmas weighing less than a ton!!
The kids are so excited for Christmas!! I work tonight, then tomorrow we are going out to have a dinner with some neighbors then our annual Christmas Eve fun, and then it's CHRISTMAS!!!!
